Growth and Development:
The library is the most
essential of all facilities provided by any teaching
institution. The curiosity and thirst for knowledge
is only quenched by the pool of information from books,
journals, reference materials, etc. MERF-ISH
caters to the academic growth and excellence of all
its members by providing valuable resources- the library
is one of its main assets.
Objectives:
MERF has established this Institute to
provide excellent professionals in the field
of speech and Hearing and is working steadily
towards this goal.MERF-ISH has equipped
the students and the staff with the latest editions
of all academic information so as to enable them
to acheive Global standards.
Space :
The
library is in a quiet area of the Institute with
an air-conditioned reading room and allows the students/interns/staff
to concentrate on their academic preparations.
Collection:
The
library is a valuable source of information and is
provided with all the necessary books in the varied
subjects of Audiology, Speech Language Pathology,
Lingustics, Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology, Acoustics & Electronics. This
has been possible due to the close liason of the Institute
with leading publishers. The updated editions
of several books are available.

Students and staff menbers also have the privileged
access to the British Council library in Chennai.
The Institute is an Access-20 member of the British
Council.Periodically,the staff are invited by
the British Council Library to attend workshops.
A photocopying facility is provided in the Institute
to assist staff and students in the preparation
of their academic material.
User
Guidelines:
On presentation of the ID card,each member of
the Institute is issued the resource material.Renewals
are also possible.Reference material cannot be
taken out of the Institute.No effort is spared
to facilitate easy accessibility of the library
resources.

8 a.m. to 6 p.m.(Monday to Saturday)
