The Central Mission
of the MERF Institute of Speech and Hearing is the transmission,
critical application, enquiry and expansion of knowledge
through teaching, research and community service.
The Institute undertakes the responsibility
to provide educational, cultural and practical training
experiences that enable students to maximize their potential
to become dedicated and refined audiologists and speech
and language pathologists.
The Institute fosters the acquisition
of new knowledge through scholarly and scientific research.
The Institute is concerned with dissemination and appropriate
use of knowledge to the community in the field of Audiology,
Speech Communication and Speech-language Pathology.
The Institute has as its primary mission
the responsibility to provide high quality education
for students to prepare them for employment in fields
in which communication and competency are valued. |
